Faithful In A Foreign Land (Daniel 1:8-9)

The Bible is full of examples of faithful people. God encourages us to consider their lives and their faith. Their example encourages us to trust God as well. Daniel is one of the faithful in the Old Testament that is worthy of our consideration. Let us notice the account of the beginning of his exile in Babylon (Dan. 1:1-21).

Daniel 1:8–9 (Listen)

But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king’s food, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself. And God gave Daniel favor and compassion in the sight of the chief of the eunuchs,
