Prayers & God’s Providential Care (Psalm 91:1-4)

Phillip Stuckey, January 14, 2018
Part of the Miscellaneous series, preached at a Sunday Evening service

Prayer is a great privilege for the Christian (Heb. 4:16). The saints are encouraged to pray for one another and for the sick among them (Jas. 5:13-15). Listen as we have a special time of worship in prayer and song to consider God’s care and providence.

Psalm 91:1–4 (Listen)

91:1   He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
    will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
  I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress,
    my God, in whom I trust.”
  For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
    and from the deadly pestilence.
  He will cover you with his pinions,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
    his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
