The Power of Prayer: Pray For Enemies (1 Thessalonians 5:15)

Phillip Stuckey, June 2, 2019
Part of the The Power of Prayer series, preached at a Sunday Evening service

Taking a stand for Christ will not always draw people to you. In fact, Jesus said it will sometimes ensure you will have enemies (Matt. 10:34-36). When people become our enemies how do we deal with them? In Paul’s letter to the saints in Thessalonica, he gave them instructions that would help them deal not only with situations where their brethren became their enemies but also with those who are not a part of the church. Let us consider Paul’s words so that we will be encouraged to do our duty toward our enemies and how prayer can help us help them.
