Take My Life, And Let It Be (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

Phillip Stuckey, August 4, 2019
Part of the Hymn Studies series, preached at a Sunday Evening service

The Bible calls on Christians to teach and admonish one another in hymns (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16). They are a powerful way for us to remember and to proclaim the truths of God’s word. God calls on us in Christ to give ourselves as living sacrifices (Rom. 12:1-2). In this lesson, we want to consider a hymn that teaches us to consecrate our lives to God.

1 Corinthians 6:19–20 (Listen)

19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
