The Power of Prayer: Pray About Abstaining From Evil (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22)

Phillip Stuckey, November 3, 2019
Part of the The Power of Prayer series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

We have been considering Paul’s closing instructions to the Thessalonians to guide us in our prayers this year (1 Thess. 5:12-28). After focusing on the brethren speaking to God in praise, prayer, and thanksgiving, he gives some practical exhortations about God speaking to them through teaching and prophecy. Let’s continue our study as Paul instructs the brethren about how to respond to prophecy.
