The Power of Prayer: Pray About Living Sanctified (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)

Phillip Stuckey, December 1, 2019
Part of the The Power of Prayer series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

We have been considering Paul’s closing instructions to the Thessalonians to guide us in our prayers for a good part of this past year (1 Thess. 5:12-28). In this lesson, we want to conclude this series by looking once more at Paul’s words to this church and consider our need to rely on God’s power and grace to be sanctified and blameless.

1 Thessalonians 5:23–24 (Listen)

23 Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.
