The Power of Prayer To Encourage, Help, and Be Patient (1 Thessalonians 5:13-14)

Phillip Stuckey, May 5, 2019
Part of the The Power of Prayer series, preached at a Sunday Evening service

Local churches are made up of all kinds of people from all kinds of backgrounds. Some are new to the faith and others are more seasoned. Some are thriving, and others are struggling. It takes love and patience to be at peace and work together (1 Thess. 5:13). In his letter to the Thessalonians, Paul gave some instructions that not only helped the church there but can help the church in all places and all times to get along with one another. In this lesson, we want to consider Paul’s instructions to help those who are struggling and let his teaching encourage us to not only help them but to pray for them.
