At this point in Luke’s gospel, the death of Jesus is at hand. Jesus is in the right place and, as we shall see, it is the right time (Luke 9:31). The forces that have been plotting against Jesus are getting antsy to put an end to Him (Luke 19:47-48; 20:19-20).  Let us take a moment to reflect on who conspired against Jesus and how if we aren’t vigilant, we can find ourselves caught up in their plotting even today.
