From time to time, especially when a presidential election is looming, there is talk about pardons. When someone gets a pardon, they are absolved from the consequences of a fault or crime. This idea of being pardoned is an important part of the gospel (1 John 1:7; Prov. 28:13; Ps. 32:5). Here in our text about Simon the Sorcerer we see that God has two laws of pardon.
